It's the 24th Annual Tour De Shore Bike Ride

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police charities for children got a boost financially from the 24th annual Tour de Shore bike ride to Atlantic City.

The 65-mile ride began around 7:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Law enforcement officials and police from all over the Philadelphia region headed to Atlantic City to raise money for police charities for children like the Police Athletic League.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman was among those peddling to the shore to help kids. She led the Wheels of Justice, which alone has raised $50,000.

The 65 mile ride concluded with a huge picnic and party along the Atlantic City boardwalk.
