CENTERVILLE, Del. (AP) – New Castle County police say two horses and two ponies were returned to their owners after wandering throughout the community of Centerville Reserve.

Officers were called to Centrenest Lane early Sunday morning for a report of four loose horses.

Area residents corralled the horses and they were cared for by a resident of the development who has a small horse farm.

Robin Rieger reports…

Police say it appeared that the horses were well cared for.

Police checked several different locations to find the owner. After several hours of searching, authorities were able to find their home.

I’m sure the entire world was concerned about these horses – they stopped fighting in the Middle East, hungry people stopped eating in Africa, congress interrupted their budget debate game, Philadelphians whom got robbed over the weekend delayed their 911 calls, meter maids just collapsed with concern and the parking meter repair men stopped to scratch heir heads, firemen stopped fighting fires, Philly law makers postponed new laws against anything people enjoy eating – where’s the important news or is Philly becoming invisible? Should I call to report my citing of a mouse in the house – is that news too?
