MAGNOLIA, Del. (AP) — Police say a 22-year-old Magnolia man was involved in six traffic crashes—including three with state police vehicles that were trying to stop him.

Joseph Barclay faces a variety of charges including reckless endangering and driving under the influence of drugs after the string of crashes Friday afternoon.

All the crashes occurred in the Camden and Magnolia area. Police say Barclay hit three vehicles in separate incidents before police and fire marshals tried to pull him over. Police say he then crashed into three state police cruisers while trying to avoid apprehension.

The last crash disabled his vehicle, and he was taken into custody after police say he tried to flee on foot.

He’s being held in lieu of $4,900 bond.
