Police: Death Of Infant In Hunting Park ‘Suspicious’

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are investigating what they call the “suspicious” death of a young child early Tuesday morning.

Police say they were called to a home on N. 7th Street in the city’s Hunting Park section for the report of a child not breathing at about 2:30 a.m.

According to investigators, a nine-month-old male baby was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and was pronounced dead there about 30 minutes later.

Police said they found signs of trauma and they are calling the infant’s death “suspicious.”

Eyewitness News was told that the boy was in the care of relatives and not his parents.

So far, no arrests have been made. The incident remains under police investigation.

All these people need to do to get pregnant is stand close to each other and think about it and poof a living soul. They have no moral values and no respect for life.

When is it going to stop. This baby didn’t even have a chance. What is wrong with people today. Babies were gifts from heaven. There are so many couples and single folks that want children and can’t have them. Then there are those that spit them out like a dog having a liter of puppies. If you can’t afford them, then stop making them. We need tougher laws to deal with this. These babies are innocent victims that can’t fend for themselves. Is the human race that bad. I would want to think that it’s not. Come one people, what’s up with all this??? Somebody tell me please!!!!!!!

I’m feeling you, Stephanie. It’s pitiful how people treat innocent children. God put them in our lives for a very special reason. I hope whoever hurt this poor little baby never gets out of prison or sees daylight ever again. Rest in Peace, little Angel. People are sick. Just plain sick.
