PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The next 14 months will bring generic versions of seven of the world’s 20 best-selling drugs, and other medication. This means those medications will cost less for consumers.
Doctors hope the lower prices will reduce the number of people jeopardizing their health because they can’t afford the brand name drugs.

October 2011- Zyprexa
November 2011- Lipitor
March 2012- Lexapro, Seroquel, Avapro/Avalide
April 2012- Provigil
May 2012- Plavix
July 2012- Tricor
August 2012- Singulair, Actos
September 2012- Diovan, Geodon
November 2012- Lidoderm
December 2012- Atacand
March 2013- Lovaza
August 2013- Temodar
