PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -  Phillies’ general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. was a guest on KYW Newsradio this morning.

Among the topics discussed, the status of righthanded reliever Brad Lidge, whom Amaro expects to be activated from the disabled list today.

Lidge has not pitched for the Phillies all season because of shoulder issues.

Amaro also talks more about the bullpen and the induction of former Phillies’ GM Pat Gillick into the Baseball Hall of Fame this weekend.
