Bucks County Soldier Killed In Afghanistan

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A United States Army soldier from Bucks County has been killed while serving his country in Afghanistan.

Sgt. 1st Class Kenneth Elwell and another soldier were killed Sunday when enemy forces attacked their unit with an improvised explosive device in Kandahar province.

Elwell was 33-years-old and was from Holland, Pa.

Elwell was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

    RIP – another hero taken all too soon from his family. God bless you and know he is in the arms of the Good Lord , i wish all our soldiers were on safe ground if not at home.
