2011 Emmy Nominees Announced

(CBS) - The 2011 Emmy nominees were announced Thursday morning.

One of the more interesting races is for best drama. Six shows are up for the award: "Boardwalk Empire", "Dexter", "Friday Night Lights", "Game of Thrones", "The Good Wife" and "Mad Men", leads the way with 19 total bids.

The nominees for best actor in a television drama series are Steve Buscemi, "Boardwalk Empire" (HBO); Kyle Chandler, "Friday Night Lights" (NBC/DirecTV); Michael C. Hall, "Dexter" (Showtime); Jon Hamm, "Mad Men" (AMC); Hugh Laurie, "House" (Fox); Timothy Olyphant, "Justified" (FX).

For best actress in a drama series: Julianna Margulies, "The Good Wife" (CBS); Connie Britton, "Friday Night Lights" (NBC/DirecTV); Mireille Enos, "The Killing" (AMC); Kathy Bates, "Harry's Law" (NBC); and Elisabeth Moss, "Mad Men"
