BERKS COUNTY, PA (CBS) – Penn Township investigators have ruled that a 15-year-old’s drowning death was the result of a misfortunate accident.
At around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sherac R. Nerjuste, an exchange student from Haiti, and a group of friends were jumping in the area in Blue Marsh known as ‘Church Road Cliffs,’ just North of Old Church Road.
Investigators say, Nerjuste jumped from a cliff approximately 20 feet off shore and surfaced briefly before going under water. The boy was found in about 18 feet of water in the area.
There is no information on how long he remained underwater.

Investigators said that this incident is an accidental drowning.
Nerjuste lived Sinking Spring, Berks County.
