TINTON FALLS, N.J. (AP) – Some New Jersey state police troopers helped make a special delivery on the Garden State Parkway.
They came to the assistance of a Lakewood woman who went into labor around 8:30 a.m. Friday while in her vehicle, which was parked on the highway in Monmouth County near northbound milemarker 103 in Tinton Falls.
State police spokesman Sgt. Julian Castellanos says the woman and her son—whose names were not released—both appeared to be doing well. They were taken to Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch.
The trooper’s names were not immediately available.
