Two Victims Beaten, Tied Up During Terrifying Home Invasion

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police responded to a call about a home invasion in the 6300 block of Summerdale Avenue in the Oxford Circle section of the city early this morning.

A little before 3 a.m., two men forced their way into the home, where they assaulted and tied up a 31-year-old female resident. Sometime during the ordeal, a 50-year-old male homeowner returned to the house while the suspects were still inside. The male victim was also tied up, and then beaten and burned and had bleach poured on him.

"It's a good neighborhood as far as I know," said Hector Rodriguez who has been living in Oxford Circle for almost 20 years.

"This neighborhood is really quiet, you barely see people outside," said Tasha Colon who moved in with her family of six, two years ago.

Both victims were transported to Einstein Medical Center in stable condition. It is not yet known if anything was taken from the house.

Police have not arrested any suspects in the case, but they are looking for two black males. One suspect was reportedly wearing a mask.
