Hundreds Gather For Annual Pops Concert In Front Of Independence Hall

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Hundreds gathered on the lawn in front of Independence Hall on Sunday night to hear Peter Nero and the Philly Pops 10th Annual Independence Day concert last night.

Some sat in lawn chairs, others on blankets and many just stood waving the American flag while they listened to the patriotic sounds of Peter Nero and the Philly Pops.

Delores and Clyde Rush say it wouldn’t be Independence Day weekend without the Pops!

“Yes, this is our fifth or sixth year. We live right downtown.”

And other folks just stumbled onto the music.

“We didn’t know. We were walking around the corner and saw all these people and said- oh, there’s a concert.”

Either way they all enjoyed the music.

While Ms. Patterson asks a good question, Spartacus displays his poorly hidden hatred. He is certainly entitled to his opinion, but his opinion is worthless and, I suspect, so is he.
