Police Search For Suspect Who Allegedly Inappropriately Touched 3-Year-Old Inside Delaware Burger King

LAUREL, Del. (CBS) – Police are searching for a male suspect after he allegedly touched a 3-year-old boy inappropriately inside the bathroom of a Sussex County fast food restaurant on Friday.

According to authorities, the incident happened at about 6:15 p.m. in Laurel at a Burger King located in the 24000 block of Sussex Highway. Police say a woman waited in line to receive her order while her son went to the men’s restroom.

A short time later, the woman went to check on the child and called out to him through the bathroom door. After the son did not respond, the woman called out again but instead a male patron opened the door and asked if the child in the bathroom was hers.

The mother then looked in the bathroom where she observed her son standing inside with his pants down around his ankles and his shirt missing. Police say it was at this point that the male suspect exited the stall inside of the bathroom, holding the victim’s shirt.

The mother and her child fled the restaurant and went to a nearby residence where the woman than contacted the authorities.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 50 and 60 years of age and approximately 5’5” to 5’9” tall with a large built. He was last seen wearing tan pants, a short-sleeved shirt, black cap and glasses.

On the night of the incident, the suspect was seen entering a gold or silver vehicle described as possibly being a Dodge Neon. Further investigation revealed the suspect had touched the victim’s private area while they were in the bathroom.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Delaware State Police at 302-337-1090.

It’s totally unreal that she would let a 3 year old go into a public restroom alone. As for her possibly suing B/King, she should not be allowed to sue them because even perverts need to use the bathroom, and you sometimes can’t tell from the way a person looks who’s a child molester and who isn’t. We just have to be extremely careful no matter where we are and keep our precious children as close as possible.

I agree why would she let him go alone, but then again what does it say about our society when a 3 year old can not go into a restroom without being attacked. Should not have to fear being in public. What has happened to us as a society where a 3year old becomes a sexual object?

These are the perverts that the libt ards want to allow to become scoutmasters.

Wow…just wow….I have a 3 year old who is almost 4 and he would NEVER!!! go into a men’s restroom alone! A young boy in our day should only be going into the men’s restroom alone if he is old enough to defend himself.

Even if there were not perverts in mens restrooms, letting a 3 year old child go alone poses many other problems, not the least of which is kidnapping, or the child getting confused and going outside and getting hit by a car.

    Good grief.

Why did this mom let a 3 year old boy go to the rest room alone?

    1. Zzbar says:

Because she was stupid. The 2 Whoppers, fries, and large diet coke, and kiddie meal were more important to her.

    2. Rob says:

agreed – What sane loving mother lets her 3 year old go to the bathroom alone i n this day and age

    3. eileen says:

What is wrong with people? my 3 year old would never be out of my sight?

    4. Ban-Ho says:

yes because clearly the critical factor here was his age. children older than 3 rarely ever get molested, right? wait, they do. I guess you can never let any child of any age ever go anywhere alone. cool.
