Man Killed, 4 People Wounded In Camden Shooting
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) -- Camden authorities say a gunman opened fire on a city street early Friday, killing a man and wounding four other people who were standing in line to use a nearby ATM.
Police Chief Scott Thomson says 31-year-old Kevin Johnson of Camden was shot multiple times after he apparently got into an argument with the gunman around 1:30 a.m.
Johnson was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Thomson says three men and a woman—all Camden residents—were wounded by stray gunfire, but none of their injuries appear to be life-threatening. They were among several people waiting in line to use the ATM.
The gunman fled the scene and remained on the lam Friday afternoon.
