Don't Call It The Atlantic City Hilton Anymore

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) -- The casino long known as the Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort has lost its licensing deal with Hilton and taken a new name.

It's now going by "ACH."

A spokesman for Hilton Hotels & Resorts tells The Press of Atlantic City that the casino is no longer a Hilton. He won't say why the agreement was ended but says the hotel chain wants to protect its name and identity.

Hilton signs remain at the hotel and casino for now. But they are expected to be changed.

The casino has been the biggest money loser among Atlantic City's 11 casinos and is looking for a new owner after defaulting on its mortgage.

The Las Vegas Hilton casino hotel is also losing its right to the Hilton name starting Jan. 1.
