Second Arrest Made In Prostitution Web Site Allegedly Run By New Jersey Professor

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) -- Albuquerque police say a woman has been arrested in connection with an online prostitution ring that earlier led to the arrest of a New Jersey professor.

Police say 28-year-old Cara Garrett threatened another woman who helped police in their investigation and eventual arrest of 68-year-old physics professor David Flory. A police report says Garrett was booked for bribery and intimidation of a witness. Albuquerque police say Garrett is in custody in Roswell and will be extradited to Albuquerque.

The professor, who has taught at Fairleigh Dickinson University since 1969, has a vacation home in Santa Fe.

Albuquerque Police Lt. William Roseman says the website had been in operation about three years and had about 1,400 members—about 200 prostitutes and about 1,200 johns.
