Police Release 911 Tapes In Bucks County Double Murder-Sucide

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Bucks County authorities have released the 911 tapes after a double-murder suicide in Warrington Township.

Christopher Moyer, 44, sounds calm as he talks to a 911 dispatcher reporting his wife and son have been bludgeoned to death. The murder happened Friday night in their home along Redstone Drive.

Warrington Police Chief James Miller says Moyer called police at around 9:40 p.m.

"He called in saying he wanted to report a murder. And they asked him who was murdered; he said his wife and his son."

"Ah, I need to report a murder," Moyer says to the dispatcher.

Moyer continues to calmly answer questions and when the dispatcher asks, "Did you do it?" Moyer replies, "Yes."

Police say Moyer's 39-year-old wife Irina Moyer and his son, seven-year-old Dylan, were apparently struck with the bat as they slept.

Police say they later found Moyer's truck near train tracks in Hatboro. His body was found on the tracks. Investigators believe he committed suicide by throwing himself in front of a train.
