WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – A police officer and a female driver were transported to an area hospital after their vehicles collided in Wilmington Sunday afternoon.

Authorities say the officer was responding to a report of a burglary in the 3300 block of Washington Street a little before 2 p.m.

While en route, the officer’s vehicle struck a gray Hyundai near 31st and Washington streets.

The 47-year-old female driver of the Hyundai was taken to Wilmington Hospital with minor injuries, according to authorities. The officer, a 10-year veteran of the force, was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

No charges have been filed at this time. Officials continue to investigate this accident.
