PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for the suspects involved in the attempted murder of a SEPTA bus passenger Saturday evening.
Authorities say the incident happened just before 6 p.m. on 7th Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue, where a group of four males approached a Route 47 bus filled with passengers and opened fire.
According to investigators, the suspects were trying to shoot one of the riders on the bus and in turn struck the vehicle several times. The bus driver continued driving and let the passengers off at Temple University Hospital fearing that people may have been injured, officials say.
Fortunately, police say no one was hurt in the shooting.
The motive behind the shooting is not clear at this time. Police and SEPTA officials are investigating.
