PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A multi-vehicle crash closed the southbound lanes of the Northeast Extension Wednesday afternoon.

The accident, involving a tractor trailer and several cars, happened at about 4 p.m. just before Mid County Tolls at mile marker 24.5 Traffic was backed up to the Lansdale exit.

At least one injury was reported.

Drivers are urged to use alternate routes.
