Trenton's Mill Hill Garden Tour

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - "Trenton Makes The World Takes," it says on the bridge. But Trenton also grows, and you can go see some beautiful gardens there, this Saturday, June 11th at the 20th annual Mill Hill Garden Tour.

A tight-knit community of homes, the Mill Hill street layout makes it one of the easiest garden tours to enjoy, because you simply stroll from house to house following the map they give you with your ticket, to see them all. Between and behind these historic homes, you'll discover some of the Delaware Valley's most cleverly designed compact gardens.

The Mill Hill Garden Tour runs from 12 to 5pm, rain or shine. Your ticket, $10 in advance or $15 at the door, also gets you in to see the circa 1719 country home of William Trent - the man for whom the city of Trenton was named - and the grounds, which include a colonial kitchen garden.
