PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Tomorrow is the 4th annual Penn Moves yard sale and the goods can be yours for the right price.
Every year University of Pennsylvania students head home for the summer, leaving tons of stuff behind and it’s all on sale.
Barbara Lea-Kruger, spokeswoman for Penn’s business services, says there is close to 90-thousand pounds of stuff, “We have microwaves, we have refrigerators, we have tons of clothing and anything that might be in a dorm room, but, beyond that, we have everything from a giant teddy bear, to a Chuck Norris weight bench to a Lenox vase.”
Lea-Kruger says the proceeds will help the community, “We’re collaborating with Goodwill Industries and Goodwill is helping us organize and operate the sale and all the proceeds go to support Goodwill’s training services for people with disabilities.”
It takes place at 3401 Grays Ferry Avenue from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and only cash will be accepted.
