PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Fire officials in Philadelphia are investigating the cause of a row home fire late Thursday evening.
The fire started at about 11 p.m. inside a home in the 1500 block of W. Erie Avenue in the city’s Tioga section.
When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy fire and smoke coming from the home.
Several residents were evacuated from nearby homes during the fire. It took firefighters approximately an hour to get the fire under control.
Fire officials said at least one home was severely damaged. There were no reports of any injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
