PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Urban League of Philadelphia is holding a week of events spotlighting diversity in the workplace.
The Urban League of Philadelphia’s 3rd annual Empowerment Week includes a gathering of CEO’s to talk about African Americans on corporate boards as well as a Jobs Summit where attendees can hear from major Philadelphia companies. Pat Coulter is president and CEO of the Urban League of Philadelphia.
“We are also focusing on hiring and employment because people to realize that there are some people that are hiring. We just need to get them connected.”
The week also includes a Youth Empowerment Day at South Philadelphia High School and a gala where corporate supporters will be honored and college scholarships presented.
