Have A Safe Memorial Day Weekend

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Memorial Day weekend is certainly a time for family picnics, get togethers and celebrations but there is always one grim statistic that we see repeated over and over again. There are needless alcohol related motor vehicle accidents -- tragic accidents that don't have to occur.

If you plan to have alcohol as part of your celebration, make certain you don't go out on the road and drive. A designated driver is always crucial but when you add the fact that there could be other drunk drivers behind the wheel, reflexes are crucial.

Another major concern: please wear your seatbelt and make certain the kids are in car seats if necessary. Memorial Day can be a happy time for celebration but you don't want to be a statistic.
