By Jim Donovan: Gap and Goodwill Industries of Southern NJ & Philadelphia have announced a partnership encouraging consumers to clean out their closets for a cause. From now through Sunday, May 29, Gap stores in the United States and Canada will accept clothing donations in support of the Donate Movement, an effort powered by Goodwill to educate the public on the positive impacts donations can have on both people and the planet.
When consumers donate clothing locally to Gap stores during this time period, their donations will be given to Goodwill Industries of Southern NJ & Philadelphia and then sold in Goodwill’s 19 stores. To thank customers for their generous donations, donors will receive 30-percent off their entire Gap purchase, including regularly priced and sale items, just in time for Memorial Day shopping. Also, donors who take their donations directly to Goodwill can receive a 30% off coupon that they can use at Gap.
Don’t have any items to donate but want to get in on this deal? Well here’s a suggestion. Head to the Gap clearance rack, buy something, donate it, and then get the 30% off coupon that you can use for the rest of your shopping.
