PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Bala Cynwyd firm is attempting to help entrepreneurs improve their chances of success through a program that combines hands-on vocational training with traditional MBA classes.
The Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management program was designed by working entrepreneurs for those who want to bring their ideas and businesses to market.
Leexan Hong of Learnquest says the course helps them learn the nuances of running a business.
“That might mean marketing. That might mean setting up operations. That might mean sales, having an accounting system that’s affective. Things like that where they just don’t know those elements of running a business. You could have the best idea in the world but still not succeed because you don’t have these other pieces in place.”
The ESBM program runs about ten months. Hong adds open houses will be held this summer.
