PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia pet hotel was giving visitors something to bark at an open house on Saturday.

Barkapapolza was the name of the event hosted by the Philadelphia Pet Hotel and Villas near the airport in Southwest Philadelphia.

There were pet supplies being sold, readings by a pet physic, and a stupid pet trick contest.

“This is actually our way of saying thank you the community this is a free event we want the local vendors to know who we are who our clients are,” said Carol Skaziak, the event coordinator.

Visitors were able to check out the pet hotel accommodations including the high end villas where for $89 a night dogs can lounge on queen size beds and watch a doggie movie on their own flat screen TV.
