LOWER SOUTHAMPTON, Pa. (CBS) – A Philadelphia man died Saturday evening after drowning in the Neshaminy Creek.
After searching for nearly two hours, authorities in Lower Southampton, Bucks County recovered the body near Bristol Road and Grove Avenue.
Authorities say the victim was with a group of friends who were trying to get from one side of the creek to the other on a makeshift swing.

At about 4 p.m., police received a call from the group of swimmers who said their friend tried to swing across the creek but fell in the water. About two hours later, rescue units found the victim and rushed him to Aria Health in Torresdale where he was pronounced dead.
The name of the victim is being withheld until his next of kin is notified.
