PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Phillies have placed centerfielder Shane Victorino on the 15-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain. To take his place on the roster, outfielder Domonic Brown has been recalled from AAA Lehigh Valley.
Victorino hasn’t started a game since Saturday, in Atlanta. His lone appearance since then was as a pinch-hitter on Wednesday when he laid down a sacrifice bunt. Because of that appearance, this DL stint will only be retroactive to May 19th.
Brown was hitting .341 (14-41) with two home runs and 10 RBI in 11 games for Lehigh Valley.
