TRENTON, N.J. (AP) – Motorists are seeing stable prices at the pumps in New Jersey.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of regular gasoline on Friday was $3.89, the same as last week. But that’s still much higher than the cost a year ago, when New Jersey motorists were paying $2.79.
Meanwhile, the national average price also remained unchanged, coming in at $3.98 for the second straight week. That’s also higher than the national average from a year ago, which was $2.89.
Analysts remain hopeful that prices at the pump will start to fall, but say that will MOSTLY depend on whether the crude oil market remains volatile.
The fluctuating oil prices are mostly due to the see-sawing U.S. dollar, European debt issues and the unstable political situation in Libya.

ALL of our leaders should be ashamed of their selves for letting this economy draining issue fester on!
