PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — An accident at 17th and Spring Garden early Saturday morning left one person injured.

Police say the victim was hit by a vehicle around 3 a.m. The driver then attempted to stop the car but crashed into a streetlight, which then fell and hit another pedestrian.

The male victim who was hit by the vehicle was taken to the hospital, where he is reportedly in stable condition. The pedestrian suffered minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital.

The accident is under investigation.
