Soda Delivery Truck Crashes Into Awning Of Quakertown School

QUAKERTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – A school building suffered minor damage after a delivery truck crashed into it early Thursday morning in Bucks County.

The accident happened at the Neidig Elementary School on North Penrose Street in Quakertown.

According to investigators, a soda delivery truck driver somehow lost control of his vehicle and struck an awning near the front entrance of the school. The truck tore the awning down.

School officials said no students were inside the school at the time of the crash and there were no reports of any injuries.

The school remained open as crews removed the truck and cleaned up the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
