Check Out

Fifteen year-old Karimah sings in her church’s choir.

(Singing:)  “Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved…”

And while her voice is easy on the ears, it’s her smile that will warm your heart.

Does she ever not smile?

“If I’m mad, you’ll see me smile again in, like, a minute,” she says, still smiling.

That glowing smile is something she says she has in common with her idol, Justin Bieber.

“I smile like him,” Karimah says.  “Every time I look in the mirror, I smile and I just think, ‘Oh my gosh, I can just see Justin Bieber right now.’  And his favorite color is purple; my favorite color is purple.”

“She sings, she draws, she reads, she’s talented, she’s a member of her church’s gospel choir and she’s a great listener and a loyal friend,” says Gloria Hochman of the National Adoption Center.  “And she very much, even though she’s fifteen, wants a family.”

For more information, go to the web site of the Adoption Center of Delaware Valley, ACDV.org.
