In a little over a month, more than 300 PGA Professionals will head to Hershey for their national championship, where 20 of them will earn a spot alongside the big boys at the PGA Championship later this summer.
The Hershey Country Club is no stranger to top-level play, having hosted Nike/Nationwide Tour events, the LPGA, and back in the day, the touring PGA Professionals. In fact, Hershey provided a key moment in Ben Hogan’s early career, and he later became the Head Professional there for a time. Here’s a fascinating look at the original job offer wired to Hogan.
