The Annual Ride For Recovery Is Next Weekend In Bucks County

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Hundreds of motorcycle riders will make a racket in Bucks County next Sunday in an annual fundraiser.

The Ride for Recovery sends a stream of cycles through beautiful Bucks County, start and finish at the headquarters of the Livengrin Foundation in Bensalem, where there will be food, music and a raffle for (imagine this) a motorcycle.

For Scott Fleming, founder of the Newfound Freedom halfway houses and a Livengrin "alum" himself, this gives those in recovery from drugs or alcohol a way to help others.

"I always want to be there in that way so I've, over the years, gotten our residents excited and enthusiastic about supporting such a good event, something that helps people that might not have any money, have no insurance and we raise funds to help them get the help that they need when they are ready."

Fleming, the volunteer coordinator for this, says he can't have too many offers of help.
