Not Many Reservations Left For Mother's Day Dinner Across The Region

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – If you're planning to treat mom to a meal at that special restaurant, you may want to call ahead most of the area's top establishments are booked solid.

Restaurants throughout the Delaware Valley offering Mother's Day specials are expecting lots of patrons. Ellin Yin, owner of Fork in Old City Philadelphia, says restaurants will be ready for the rush.

"It's all hands on deck. I tell people at the beginning of the year, don't make any plans for mother's day or graduation weekend," said Yin.

Cosmo Mullen, general manager of Jake's and Cooper's in Manayunk, says if you're planning to be a walk-in customer, you should call ahead. Some places, like his, are so fully booked, there's a waiting list just to be considered for a table. "In a day and a half we've taken about 25 names and they're on a wait list currently, waiting for cancellations."

Regardless of where you go, there's sure to be a crowd.
