Saturday Is Free Comic Book Day

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – You'll be able to get free comic books Saturday at participating stores in the area.

The comic book industry has been doing free comic book day for about a decade. Special comic books have been printed for the day. Bill Fink is the owner of Ontario Street Comics in Port Richmond. He lets customers at his store pick five books.

"…The major publishers DC comics, Archie, Marvel many other publishers and it's a good way for us to get publicity," said Fink. "And it's also a good way to get comics into the hands of maybe some people and kids who would not have them normally."

Some of the books you can choose from at the Ontario Street shop are Green Lantern Flashpoint, the amazing Spider Man and Hong Kong Panda.

To find a participating shop, go to freecomicbookday.com and type in your zip code.
