"...Stop by on his way home from work, get in six holes and his wife never knows a thing."

Nah, golfers wouldn't do that, would they???!!!!!   That quote came from a nice piece by Joe Logan on the current 6-hole layout (and soon to expand to 9) at Heritage Creek Golf Club in Bucks County. You can read the full article here at MyPhillyGolf.com.

The original intent was not to design a 6-hole course or even a 9-holer. But the tough economic times brought construction to a halt, and the result is a nice alternative for those who can't afford the time or expense of an 18-hole round. I'm a big fan of 9-hole courses, so I'll be watching with interest to see if area golfers warm up to the 6-hole concept now that the word is getting out. You can find directions and rates (as low as $8 to walk) here at the club's website.
