PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia firefighters are investigating the cause of a blaze that tore through a row home early Wednesday morning.
The fire started at about 6 a.m. inside a home in the 900 block of Schiller Street near I Street in the city’s Kensington neighborhood.
Firefighters arrived on the scene and encountered heavy fire conditions, but they were able to bring the blaze under control in less than 30 minutes.
Fire officials said everyone inside the house made it out safely and there were no reports of any injuries.
An adjacent home suffered smoke damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
