Delco Girl, 11, Says She Was Propositioned Via iPod App

HAVERFORD, Pa. (CBS) - Police in Haverford Township, Delaware County are investigating a report of a possible Internet predator who may have used a "spycam app" to make a sexually suggestive request of a pre-teen girl.

Police say an 11-year-old girl, who was on her iPod Touch in the early morning hours one day late last month, encountered what she thought was a 12-year-old boy in a chat room.

Haverford police sergeant Daniel Wallower says the girl told them the person made contact with her through an application called "Spycam."

"The 11-year-old gave her personal information to the individual she was communicating with, and then felt a little nervous about passing it and asked that her information be deleted," Wallower says.

Then, the girl says, the person on the other end of the Spycam app told her he wouldn't spread the information around the Internet if she would show some of her body parts -- which she did not do.

Police now have the girl's phone and are following up on information through search warrants and subpoenas to try to find out who was on the other end of the conversation.

Wallower says this Spycam app is new to them.
