Your Least Favorite Club (a.k.a. 3-Wood part 2)

A few weeks ago, I blogged about my trials and tribulations with 3-woods.  You might have a similar mental block with another club in your bag… so I sought out PGA Professional George McNamara at Brandywine Country Club, because I knew George, an Extraordinary Golf devotee, would approach this in a unique way.   His thoughts in this podcast…

You can also check out more of George’s teaching techniques here at his new website:

I went to a 4-wood this season. An article in Golf Digest showed that most amateurs will hit a 4-wood as far as a 3-wood because the added loft improves accuracy. I have put an Adams Redline RPM 4-wood in the bag. It has 17 degrees of loft and is easier to hit, both off the tee and fairway, than a 15 degree 3-wood. Hell, even Bubba Watson carries a 4-wood instead of a 3-wood, Matt Kuchar as a 16 degree 3-wood. You need more loft Ed.
