BLOG: NCL Kids Sail Free & Cunard Sale

By Jim Donovan: I've got two cruise deals to tell you about today.

First up, Norwegian Cruise Line will kick off a week-long kids sail free
promotion this Sunday. NCL is calling it the "Vacation Hero" offer. Children ages 17 and younger can sail free when staying with their parents in a third or fourth berth in a cabin on select sailings fleet-wide.

The offer will be available May 1 to 7, and includes Fall sailings to the Bahamas, Bermuda, Hawaii, the Caribbean and Europe. Be sure to mention program code: EASYFARE when talking with your travel agent.
bear in mind that the kids still have to pay for taxes, port fees, etc.

Meanwhile, just in time for the royal wedding, Cunard is currently running a 5-day sale. The "Royal Celebration Sale" is cutting early booking fares by up to 60 percent.

More than two dozen cruises are eligible, from trans-Atlantic crossings to a Christmas Hawaii voyage. The sailing dates range from early September to early January.

For example, Queen Victoria's 12-night Egypt and Greek Isles cruise on Oct. 27 is priced starting at $1,091 per person, double occupancy, for an ocean-view category stateroom, a savings of the maximum 60 percent.
