Pennsylvania Baptist State Convetion To Convene For Fellowship

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Baptist clergy and laypeople from all over the commonwealth will meet for three days this week in a session of the Pennsylvania Baptist State Convention.

The Pennsylvania Baptist State Convention will begin meeting Wednesday April 27th at Triumph Baptist Church in North Philadelphia and hold three days of meetings, lecturers, concerts and seminars. Reverend Benjamin Hailey of Union Baptist Church in Allentown is the convention's president.

"When we come together, it is for fellowship, evaluating the work that is being done within the regions by the convention constituency, as well as teaching, preaching and just a time of convening the entire body to do the work of the Kingdom," said Rev. Heiley.

Reverend Hailey says much of the convention's work will focus on education and economic development.
