Philadelphia Chocolate Factory Part Of Easter Tradition For Area Families
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Area families have been keeping an Easter tradition alive with visits to a Kensington chocolate factory that has been putting smiles on faces for more than 60 years.
Customers of Blasius Chocolate Factory in the 1800 block of Venango Street say that quality, variety and service keeps them coming back year after year for Easter candy.
(Male customer:) "My father and mother brought me here, I brought my son here and he'll bring his kids here."
(Female customer:) "I think the chocolate is delicious. The assortment, the molds, they have so many different things here. I get for my God son now every year and I always try to get him something that he is interested in that year. He is 4. Like last year he was in to dinosaurs. I got him a dinosaur."
According to the National Confectioner's Association, Easter candy sales are second only to Halloween.
