Hit and Misc.

Yesterday was a reminder of what 80-degree weather can do for your feel on the golf course.  And despite some April showers, the forecast is starting to look golf-like, and things are getting busy at courses in the region.   Some happenings in the coming days:

Paxon Hollow Country Club says it has a few spots left for its ladies golf clinics which begin tonight.  The program spans for four weeks, for an hour each week, with the final session being held out on the golf course instead of the practice area.  Cost is $100 per person.  You can call the pro shop for more details at 610-325-4833 or email head professional Dan Malley at  PaxonPro@comcast.net.

Inniscrone is holding a Callaway Demo Day tomorrow from 1:00 until 5:00.  You can check out all the latest Callaway offerings, save 25% off retail pricing on all orders and in-stock purchases, and get a certificate for $5 off your next round of golf at Inniscrone.

White Oaks Country Cub is offering some Easter Weekend specials for those who recieve its email updates.   Tomorrow, the club features a 7:30am shotgun start, with a 2-for-1 Green Fee special.  The first player pays $65, and the second only pays a cart fee.    Saturday and Easter Sunday bring similar 2-for-1 specials, $65 for the first player before 1pm, $49 after 1:00, and $33 after 3pm.  If you're not on the email list, get over there and sign up... or call 856-697-8900 ext 21 for more details.

Ballamor and Scotland Run are reducing green fees on Easter Sunday.  You can play for just $58, cart included, after noon.  Advance tee times are required for the special.  You can get them by calling Ballamor at   609-601-6220 and Scotland Run at 856-863-3737.

Back Creek Golf Club (see photo) continues to rebound under new ownership, and here is the latest pricing structure for what has always been a terrific and fun layout to play:   Monday - Friday $42.50 Green Fee and Cart... Twilight (after 2 pm) $32.50 ...  Saturdays $50.00 including cart... $45 after noon... and $36 after 2pm.... Sundays $52.50 until 2pm and $36 after 2:00.
