Man Stabbed After Fight Breaks Out Inside North Philadelphia Funeral Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A suspect was arrested after a fight inside a Philadelphia funeral home led to a man being stabbed Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at about 10:30 a.m. inside the Baker Funeral Home on Broad Street in North Philadelphia.

According to investigators, a fight broke out inside the funeral and the brawl eventually spilled out into the street.

A 56-year-old man was stabbed in the lower back and was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

The unidentified suspect was taken into police custody. The incident remains under police investigation.

    My Prayers go out to everyone: the deceased, the family and friends of the deceased, the victim, and everyone else who was there. Again, I’m glad they caught the person who did the stabbing. I hope that person stays behind bars where they obviously belong.
