PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Temple University student is in critical condition after being hit by a car Sunday evening.

The accident happened at about 9:45 p.m. at Broad Street and Montgomery Avenue in North Philadelphia.

Investigators say the 19-year-old woman suffered a broken leg and several other injuries. She was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.

The driver of the striking car did stop at the scene. It was not immediately known if any charges will be filed.

The accident remains under police investigation.
