HARTLY, Del. (AP) – Delaware State Police say a Hartly man crashed his car into a home—pushing a woman’s bed across her bedroom—then fled.
Police say a woman called police saying she was lying in bed late Friday when a car crashed through the side of her home and pushed her bed across the room. She was not injured.
The driver of the Dodge Stratus fled, but police searched the area and found the car with heavy damage in the driveway of a home on Arthursville Road.
After questioning, police arrested the owner of the car, Scott Mitchell, on Saturday and charged him with his fourth offense of driving under the influence, reckless
endangering and other offenses.
