New Website Allows Pennsylvania Gaming Board Employees To File Internal Complaints

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – In response to complaints about a dysfunctional environment at the Gaming Control Board, Republican state lawmakers have launched a whistleblower website for board employees.

Montgomery County House Republican Mike Vereb says he's been contacted by numerous employees of the gaming board's Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement, or BIE, with a variety of complaints, "…abuse of power, strong-handed management, hostile work environment. And when you complain about BIE, it's BIE that's investigating the complaint against them. And we actually know that to be a fact on several fronts."

Vereb and Chester County Republican Curt Schroder, chairman of the House Gaming Oversight Committee, are rolling out a website that will allow gaming board employees to report abuse, fraud and other improprieties."

The website is pagamingoversight.com.

A spokesman for the gaming board did not respond to a request for comment.
